    Motor grader collision results in death of Wyoming man Tuesday evening

    (Big Horn County, WY) – On Tuesday, December 14th, 6:00 PM, a crash occurring on WY-31 was reported that resulted in one fatality, according to a Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP) preliminary report.

    The deceased has been identified as 84-year-old Wyoming resident Milan Sylvester.

    The report states that a motor-grader was traveling west on Wyoming Highway 31 near milepost 7, with Sylvester traveling west behind the grader.

    Sylvester’s truck then struck the rear of the grader.

    Sylvester was transported to the Washakie medical center in Worland, and later succumbed to his injuries at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, MT.

    There are no other possible contributing factors known at this time, but the report does indicate that no seat belt was in use.

    To date, there have been 109 fatalities on Wyoming’s roadways in 2021, compared to 125 in 2020, 142 in 2019, and 110 in 2018.
