Cyclist featured on County 10 Podcast struck by vehicle in Arizona

In August, Daniel Hurd cycled across the state of Wyoming. He spent some time in Lander and lent us a few moments to chat about his journey.

Hurd is a military veteran and a suicide attempt survivor. Now he’s cycling across America to help spread the message of suicide prevention, and to see some of his former military buddies along the way.

We recently learned that Hurd was seriously injured when a vehicle struck his bike along a highway in northern Arizona. Daniel was airlifted to a medical facility in Flagstaff, where he underwent a series of surgeries and spent several days. On Tuesday, November 3rd, he announced that he will be released from his stay.
