The Lander Lobos Senior Babe Ruth Varsity and Junior Varsity Teams headed to Cheyenne for the State Championship this weekend. Both teams knocked it out of the park taking the titles with landslide wins.
Coach Mike Antonovich shared with County 10 last week, “They are primed to go back and make amends for the title.” They did just that with landslide wins this weekend.
On Friday, the Lobos crushed Worland in game one with a 14-2 win. Game two against Worland the Lobos sweep again with a 9-1 win.
On Saturday, Cheyenne was no match the Lobos with a 15-1 victory. The Lobos claim a 10-2 win over Gillette.
“The Kids played amazing all weekend long,” Coach Mike shared. “They only gave up 6 runs this weekend.”
The Lander Lobos baseball teams had a great 2020 season. Last weekend, the 16U Babe Ruth team won 6-4 over the Rock Springs Drillers for their State Championship.
