    Pressure wave caused by South Pacific Volcano passed through Riverton Saturday

    (Riverton, WY) – A Pressure Wave traveled halfway around the Earth Saturday, passing through Wyoming on its way, according to a post issued by the National Weather Service in Riverton on Wednesday, January 19th.

    The Automated Surface Observing Systems (ASOS) weather station at the Riverton Airport recorded a pressure wave created by the explosive eruption of the South Pacific Volcano Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai that passed over Riverton around 6:30 AM Saturday morning.
