    Local man pled ‘guilty’ to assault by strangulation charge

    (Casper, WY) – United States Attorney Bob Murray announced today that Jared Noseep, 24, of Fort Washakie, pled “guilty” to two counts of assault by strangulation on March 29, 2022, before United States District Court Chief Judge Scott W. Skavdahl, according to a release issued by the Department of Justice.

    Sentencing has been set for June 17, 2022.

    Noseep faces up to 20 years’imprisonment, up to a $500,000 fine, three years of supervised release and a $200 special assessment.

    A federal district court judge will determine any sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

    This crime is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Kerry J. Jacobson is prosecuting the case.
