(Fremont County, WY) – The Fremont County Cornhole League was formed this past spring and in addition to league play, founder Ed Newbold had a mission to organize fundraisers for our local community.
Since its founding, they have raised over $2,600 for five organizations that range from Make-A-Wish Wyoming to the Riverton Veteran’s Hall – and they are not stopping there.
Their next fundraiser is on Saturday, October 2nd, from 4-7 pm and will benefit the Academy of the Winds School in Lander. Click here to learn more and here to pre-register. The evening will include food for purchase along with a silent auction.
They are also raffling off a set of bags for the Jason Muehler family to help with medical expenses. The raffle is $10/spot with unlimited spots and closes at 10 pm on October 2nd. Winners will be drawn at 2 pm on October 3rd. If you are interested, Facebook message Ed Newbold or call 307-856-0937 to pay for spots.
While the tournament teams and players have helped raise funds, making these possible are several local businesses who have donated goods for silent auctions and allowed them to play at their events.
Businesses include Bunk’s BBQ, Fremont Distributing, Hi-Mountain Seasoning, Stotz Equipment, Natalie Vacha at Profiles, Fremont Stoneworx, Dirt Road Steel, Brown’s Craft Haven and Gail Moravek.
