(Lander, WY) – In honor of next week’s Veterans Day celebrations, KOVE 1330 AM / 107.7 FM’s Coffee Time host Vince Tropea talked with veterans Bob Kaiser, Keith Trouwborst and George Hampton from the Lander VFW Post 954 & Auxiliary and American Legion Don Stough Post 33.
During the show the veterans were presented with a thank you check to be used at the Lander VFW Post 954 & Auxiliary, in honor of Veterans Day 2021
The donation was from a number of local businesses in Fremont County, and the full list of donors can be found at the bottom of the article.
In addition to being presented with the check, Bob, Keith and George filled us in on the upcoming Veterans Day events in Lander, including:
– The free hog roast at the VFW from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM this Sunday, November 7th
– The Avenue of Flags flag raising at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, November 10th
– The free Veterans Day brunch at the VFW from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 11th
– The Lander Valley High School Veteran Recognition/Appreciation Ceremony at the field house from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 11th
