A Day for Veterans: Riverton plans a special Veterans Day with breakfast, parade, dinner and concert

(Riverton, WY) Veterans Day is a day for paying special tribute to all U.S. veterans across the nation, and Riverton has several events where the community can come together to show their appreciation and support, including the annual Veterans Pancake Breakfast, Veterans Day Parade, a special dinner, and a concert at CWC.

American Legion Post #19 Adjutant Commander Nancy Eustice said that “there are many things that the veterans do for the community…and in turn, a lot the community could do to help our veterans”, including donations towards or helping with the Avenue of Flags, rallying volunteers for Veterans Clean Up Days at the I.O.O.F. cemetery on Riverview Road, the upkeep, maintenance, care of Veterans Memorial Park behind Riverton City Hall, and several other projects.

“Many of our veterans are too old now to help with the things that they were able to do before,” Eustice said. “So we rely a lot on the community to step up in the way of donations and volunteers so we can continue the services and programs that we provide for them.”
