    #WhatsHappening: Hot Notes | Cool Nites Concert in the Park returns to the Lander City Park Monday

    Update 7/18: The backup location in the event of rain is at the Museum of the West Livery Stable, not CWC.

    (Lander, WY) – The Hot Notes | Cool Nites Concert in the Park is happening on Monday, July 19th in Lander’s City Park at 7 pm.

    The concert will again feature the CWC Community Band and guest artists, Buffalo Bill Boycott and Dr. Jo, popular Fremont County musicians.

    Dr. Jeremy Cochran, the new band director at CWC, said the band will be performing selections from musical theatre in the concert.

    “Evenings are beautiful in Lander and there is not a better way to enjoy them than in the park listening to great music,” noted Kelly Dehnert, Manager for the series.

    He added that concertgoers should bring a blanket or chair.

    Following the band’s performance, Buffalo Bill Boycott and Dr. Jo will perform a program of bluegrass and American folk music.

    “Bill and Jo’s tour nationally presenting their historical programs of western music,” explained Dehnert. “Their performances always delight their audiences,” he added.

    Dehnert explained that in the event of rain the performance will be held in the Museum of the West Livery Stable.

    The band rehearses before the concerts at 5:30 pm and are fed dinner by a volunteer organization. Dehnert said musicians interested in performing with the Community Band should call Dr. Cochran at the college at (307) 855-2215 for information.

    The concerts are sponsored in part by the Lander and Riverton Recreation Boards, Arrow Mountain Dental, The Ranger, Home Source Realty, Sinks Canyon Therapies, and the Girard Law Offices.
