    The Lander Library announces Mark Spragg as the keynote speaker for Bookmarked 2021

    The Lander Library is over the moon to announce that Mark Spragg will be the keynote speaker for Bookmarked 2021, a county-wide festival connecting local readers and local writers happening September 10 & 11 at the Lander Library.

    Readers (do you like to read? You are a reader) and writers alike will not want to miss this. Mark Spragg is the author of Where Rivers Change Direction, a memoir that won the 2000 Mountains & Plains Independent Booksellers award, and the novels, The Fruit of Stone, An Unfinished Life, and in 2010, Bone Fire.  All four were top-ten Book Sense selections and An Unfinished Life was chosen by the Rocky Mountain News as the Best Book of 2004.  Spragg’s work has been translated into fifteen languages. He lives in Wyoming with his wife, Virginia, with whom he wrote the screenplay for the film version of his novel, An Unfinished Life, starring Robert Redford and Morgan Freeman, and released in 2005.

    The keynote will take place at 5 pm on Saturday, September 11th, and afterward Bookmarked and the Lander Library Friends Association are hosting a dinner with Mark Spragg at Cowfish restaurant in Lander. $45 by check (Lander Library Friends Association) or cash at the Lander Library will get you a seat at the table.
