Several Lander residents have contacted County 10, as well as reported to the Lander Police Department that their political yard signs have been stolen.
County 10 reached out to LPD about consequences for this type of theft; they shared it is a misdemeanor and carries a fine of up to $500.
On top of a fine, this also ties up local authorities and resources that are already stretched thin.
Whether it’s a prank or simply politically driven, these thefts have a large impact.
