A group (more than 270) of third graders throughout our communities received a special gift— the gift of words. The Riverton Rotary Dictionary Project is an effort to provide young students with their own personal dictionaries.
The Rotary Dictionary Project is a nationwide effort and since its implementation in 1995, over 31 million children have received dictionaries. This dictionary is filled with more than just terms and definitions, it also includes a mini-encyclopedia filled with maps, facts about U.S. presidents, and math conversation tables.
