Riverton over 4 degrees above normal in January

Unless you are snowbirding elsewhere or are in hibernation, it’s probably common knowledge that January was warm and dry. But just how much warmer and drier was it? The National Weather Service in Riverton recently released their January Climate Summary.

According to the NWSR, every climate site, with the exception of Casper, was 2 degrees or more above normal. Not unlike the warmer temps, “precipitation reports were all below normal in January.”
