(Fremont County, WY) – It was a tad breezy Thursday afternoon and into the evening. The National Weather Service in Riverton has shared a list of peak winds through 9 pm Thursday.
Dry Creek in Park County topped the list with an 84 mph wind gust. We were a little more sheltered from the wind here in Fremont County, coming in at 9th on the list is Red Canyon-South Pass with a 63 mph wind gust. Check out the complete list below.
Western Wyoming is expected to be breezy again Friday. Temps are slightly lower today across Fremont County after the cold front moved in yesterday afternoon. The lows really dip in the northwest portion of the state tonight.
This doesn’t last long because the next heatwave is already on the way this weekend with a ramp up to “hot and dry” early next week.
