(South Pass, WY) – WY-28 between Lander and Farson closed due to winter conditions just after 10 am today, March 23rd. As of 3:40 pm, the road has reopened with a level 1 chain law which is still in effect.
Multiple crashes came over the scanner before the closure, including a jackknifed semi. WYDOT District 5 shared this afternoon that the semi came “within 6 inches of a WYDOT plow truck.” The plow truck and another vehicle behind them were forced off the road to avoid a crash.
