Meals available for UW students experiencing food insecurity

(Laramie, WY) – A pilot meal swipe sharing program is available this semester for University of Wyoming students experiencing food insecurity. Meals will be available at Washakie Dining Center.

The UW Food Security Taskforce and the Sustainability Coalition are collaborating on the pilot program, which is made possible by the support of the Associated Students of UW’s Special Projects. Hot, fresh and nutritious meals will be offered to UW students. The new program helps support the ongoing efforts to reduce food insecurity at UW.

Once a student is approved for the program, shared meal swipes are loaded directly onto the student’s WyoOne ID card. Swipes are dispersed on a rolling basis throughout the academic year. Students are free to use swipes as needed, and they can apply for the program more than once.
