    June 18th crash near Thermopolis results in 1 fatality, 1 injury

    (Thermopolis, WY) – The Friday, June 18th, crash near Thermopolis that led to the road closure of US20/WY789 between Shoshoni and Thermopolis, reportedly resulted in 1 death, and 1 injury.

    According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol crash report, a pickup was southbound on US 20, when the driver attempted to pass another southbound vehicle.

    The driver of the pickup entered the northbound shoulder in an attempt to avoid a collision with another vehicle, which then swerved towards the northbound shoulder in an attempt to avoid the pickup.

    The two vehicles collided in an offset head-on collision.

    According to the report, Wyoming man Patrick Moore, 73, passed away due to injuries sustained from the crash, and a seat belt was not in use. The identity of the injured person is unknown at this point, as is their current condition.
