Fatigue, possible medical issue cause of fatal crash west of Rock Springs

(Rock Springs, WY) – Wyoming Highway Patrol responded to an overturned tractor-trailer near milepost 99 on I-80 west of Rock Springs on January 28th at around 12:15 pm.

The driver, identified as 60-year-old Nashua, New Hampshire resident Joseph E. Conway, was headed westbound on I-80 when he exited the roadway’s right side, according to the WHP release. He then overcorrected to the left, causing the vehicle to leave the road a second time and overturn.
