(Fremont County, WY) – Around 12:25 PM Saturday afternoon, May 15th, a motorcycle crash was reported near milepost 115 on US-20 / WY-789 north of Shoshoni. The driver fatally injured in the crash has been identified as 34-year-old Heather Weber.
According to the preliminary information released by Wyoming Highway Patrol, Weber was northbound on the highway and reportedly failed to negotiate a left-hand curve. She exited the roadway and became separated from the motorcycle after striking the canyon wall. She was not wearing a helmet.
Both speed and driver inattention are being investigated as contributing factors.
