It may be a bit nippy this week but your local producers are still here working for you! Get your family’s groceries Wednesday 5-7 in Riverton City Park at the Wednesday Farmer’s Market. There are still plenty of fresh vegetables, plus milk, eggs, fresh baked goods, and many other foodstuffs.
This is a good time to start filling your pantry shelves with all kinds of pickles, jam, and jelly. You’ll also find burgers and steaks for the freezer.
Be sure to stop by and visit with Becky Hatcher, a local caterer who works out of the certified Riverton Community Kitchen. She’ll be distributing her pre-ordered meal for this week: peach-baked chicken, baked potato, spinach/strawberry salad, and roll, all for $10. Preorder by 5 pm on Tuesday at 851-8272. She’ll have information about next week’s menu.
