Aspen Early Learning Center receives national recognition for second time

(Riverton, WY) – Aspen Early Learning Center was named a Model PLC School for 2022, a national honor.

There were some tears from administrators and teachers just after 8:30 am at Aspen ELC Thursday morning as they announced to a full gymnasium that they were named a Model PLC School for the second time.

Fremont County School District #25 Superintendent Dr. Joanne Andre-Flanagan also praised the teachers and staff for this achievement.

“It’s a big deal and you need to understand it’s a big deal. And I want you to know from my end how much it means to me. Not the award per se but the work that you have done to get the award. That’s what matters. And you don’t get to be a Model PLC School by just doing the work. You get to be the Model PLC School because the work you do makes a difference.”

Aspen ELC is one of 388 other schools in the nation that is recognized as a Model PLC School. They first received the honor in 2020.
