(Riverton, WY) – The Riverton Ambassadors RHS Volunteer Scholarship awards were presented to three recipients during the Cinco De Mayo celebration held on Thursday, May 5.
The WYRiverton Chamber Ambassadors presented the scholarships to Brett Jones, Michaela Osborne, and Abrielle Santee. Chamber Ambassadors President Julie Buller said that they raised $4000 for the scholarship; the premise for the scholarship was youth volunteerism.
“We were looking for ways to try to get the youth to start volunteering and being involved with all of our community activities and events,” Buller said. “They had amazing applications…all the volunteer work they already do…and they’re all going to continue, so pay attention to these names because they will be coming back and volunteering in the community, and if not here, I’m sure wherever they go off to. We appreciate all you have done for our community, and we are honored to award this to you today.”
