U.S. Forest Service-Bridger-Teton National Forest reminds all to put out campfires

(Moran, WY) While it may not have happened in Fremont County, any reminder to adequately put out campfires is a good one.

U.S. Forest Service-Bridger-Teton National Forest shared on their Facebook page that an abandoned campfire was encountered on the Blackrock Ranger District near Moran, Wyoming.

According to the post, “The fire was hot and smoking in the heat of the afternoon. Help us tell everyone that campfires must be drowned with water, and the ashes stirred, and campfires are extinguished and dead out.”

With the fire season in full swing, always check area fire conditions/bans, and be sure to use your best judgement when starting and dispensing of campfires.
