(Riverton, WY) – The new Elevation Chiropractic & Wellness Center opened its doors at 500 E Fremont Avenue today, August 10th.
Owners Dr. Matt Johnson and Michaela Phillips offer a variety of services including chiropractic, rehabilitation, acupuncture and wellness care for all ages.
Matt is no stranger to Fremont County since he spent the majority of his young life here. He graduated from both Riverton High School and Central Wyoming College and then completed his education at the National University of Health Sciences in Illinois.
I always knew I would be back, he shared.
His significant other, Michaela, completes her chiropractic degree this month from the National University of Health Sciences in Illinois.
The two are excited to be here and embark on this new adventure to help the community.
Matt’s path to this profession dates back to a brain injury he suffered when he was younger.
One of the most influential things was chiropractic and natural medicine to help me get through it, he explained.
In addition to chiropractic adjustments, they offer other services such as acupuncture – methods include needles, moxibustion and cupping. Michaela will be focused on pediatrics and women’s health, Matt noted.
Matt is also trained in the Mckenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) – a rehabilitation exercise-based treatment for a variety of issues.
Assistance with lifestyle modifications such as diet, supplements and more along with general internal medicine are also offered through their wellness services.
“We are young, excited chiropractors that are looking forward to being done with school and helping the community be as active as possible,” Matt said about opening Elevation.
Since they are a new business, they will not be able to accept health insurance for a few months. However, they are currently contracting to be in-network with most plans.
Elevation hours are Monday and Wednesday 9 am to 12 pm, Tuesday and Thursday 11 am to 6 pm, Friday 8 am to 12 pm, and every other Saturday starting August 14th from 9 am to 1 pm.
