RHS student to compete for Miss Wyoming Teen USA title in June

(Riverton, WY) – 16-year-old Zona Roskowske has entered the Miss Wyoming Teen USA Pageant as Miss Teen Fremont County.

Her goal for competing in the pageant is to have a voice and raise awareness of bullying within the school systems.

Zona, a junior at Riverton High School, shared she had experienced bullying since middle school and had a hard time finding friends.

“Even if you’ve been through a lot, you can rise above that,” she explained. “You can be happy and find new people and make friends in your own way.”

She hopes to show people that have been bullied that there is hope for them.

The pageant is happening on June 17th & 18th in Casper, and if she wins she will then go on to represent Wyoming in the Miss Teen USA Pageant.

Right now, they are raising funds to help cover costs associated with the competition.

In April, her uncle Abraham Thomas is planning to hold a benefit concert. That same evening a silent auction will also be held. County 10 will share details once it gets closer.

Those interested in donating items to the auction or sponsoring Zona can message her mom, Alice, on Facebook.
