(Riverton, WY) – The annual Wyoming Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service was held Saturday afternoon at the Wyoming Fire Academy. 57 Wyoming firefighters who died in the line of duty dating back to 1920 were honored today.
Surviving family members, state officials, community members, firefighters as well as members of law enforcement attended the memorial.
The Lander Volunteer Firefighters Pipes & Drums, Casper Firefighters Pipes & Drums and the Combined State of Wyoming F.D. Honor Guards opened today’s ceremony by escorting the surviving family members to their seats.

Wyoming State Fire Marshal J. Michael Reed was this year’s guest speaker.

Wyoming State Treasurer Curt Meier also shared a few words during today’s memorial.
