The Board of Mountain Vista Retirement Residence announced Brenda Wortman as the new director this week.

“Brenda’s passion and dedication for working with the senior community at the Lander Senior Center for the past 21 years was exactly what we were looking for. I am not sure we could have found a better fit,” explained Board Member Amy Smith.

Mountain Vista Board Chair Bill Farthing said the board filled the director position with a specific personality and skill set in mind. “We are excited for Brenda to lead Mountain Vista. She grew up in Lander, is very energetic and everyone in the community knows her.”

Wortman is enthusiastic about the future of Mountain Vista. “There are such wonderful people in this community. I look forward to organizing fun activities and spending time with them. If you are getting to the point where you are tired of all the maintenance on your home or have a friend or relative that would like to join us, just give me a call. I will be more than happy to show you what a wonderful place Mountain Vista is, the best independent living for seniors I have ever seen. I would love to give a tour of our campus – you will fall in love with this place.”

The rest of the Mountain Vista Board includes: Lucy Cone, Dean McKee, Betty Baker, Dr. Robert Nagy, Lauren Hubble, Leonard Yost and Gary Michaud. Nancy Phiips recently retired from the board after many devoted years of service.

Mountain Vista Retirement Resident is an independent community of home living apartments for seniors located in Lander for those aged 55 or greater. Mountain Vista offers transportation services for residents or there are garages for each community member for personal vehicles.
