    More evacuations and road closures ordered Wednesday as Mullen Fire spreads into Colorado

    The Mullen Fire is forcing more evacuations and road closures in southeastern Wyoming, and now in Colorado. A Wednesday night update from crews battling the fire announced it is now estimated to be over 103,000 acres.

    An area near Woods Landing known as “3-way” that was previously on pre-evacuation notice was officially asked to evacuate Wednesday night.

    Additionally, the Laramie County Colorado Emergency Authority upgraded mandatory evacuation notices for the Roach and Hohnholz areas in northwestern Laramie County. Laramie County officials urged area residents and businesses, “do not delay” evacuating.

    Wyoming Highway 230 between Riverside and the Colorado State line was closed Wednesday evening due to fire activity. Wyoming 230 from the Colorado border to Woods Landing is also closed, as is Wyoming 11 between Albany and the Wyoming 130/Wyoming 10 Junction.
