    Mental Health Monday: FCSD #1 hosting two youth-centric mental health speaker presentations this month

    (Lander, WY) – Mental Health Monday, the weekly segment on KOVE 1330 AM / 107.7 FM’s Coffee Time, hosted by Vince Tropea, continued today with guest Matt Jacobson, the Community Relations Coordinator/Parent Liaison for Fremont County School District (FCSD) #1.

    Matt stopped by to discuss two mental health related events coming up for the district, one on September 15th, and the other on September 22.

    On the 15th, Laura Stack with the non-profit Johnny’s Ambassadors (which Stack created after losing her son to suicide when he became addicted to high potency THC products), will speak on the dangers of modern youth marijuana use.

    On the 22nd, Dr. Lisa Strohman, a well known psychologist specializing in tech addiction, will give a presentation on social media and its negative impact on adolescents.

    The main goal of Mental Health Monday is to start an open dialogue about a number of mental health topics, and how folks are being affected on local, state and national levels.

    Guests range from psychiatrists, psychologists, school/drug/grief counselors, and any other professionals in the field, as well as testimonials from those affected by mental health issues, such as students, veterans, first responders, and many more.
