Local COVID-19 cases increase to 12 today

An update at 7:30 pm tonight, March 24th, on the Wyoming Department of Health website reports Fremont County cases have increased from 10 to 12 today. Fremont County still has the highest number of cases across the state.

“That number is up to date but I do not have any details on the newest reported cases,” Wyoming Department of Health Information Officer Kim Deti replied to County 10 in an email tonight in reference to the updated number.

This increase follows an earlier release today from the Fremont County Incident Management Team that explained, “Consultation with all available testing laboratories shows that results are currently delayed at least a week with over 40 tests still pending in the county…This information along with a significant increase in calls to our local PH number, and reports by clinics in our communities, shows that the virus is likely extensively spread in our community.”

The team urges anyone with upper respiratory symptoms or fever to self-isolate. You can learn more about that by clicking here.
