Lander author Sam Lightner, Jr. released a new book earlier this year that shares both the well-known and lesser-known stories of Wyoming and the creation of the “Wild West.”
The book titled Wyoming: A History of the American West shares stories spanning from the formation of Wind River Canyon to modern-day Wyoming, and everything in between.
Lightner has been a writer for many years and got his start in rock climbing magazines. His publications include a few roadside histories, climbing in Wyoming and Thailand, and a historical fiction battle based in Laos.
