Lander’s City Hall closed due to COVID exposure

City Hall is currently closed through August 19th and is planned to reopen at 8:00 am on Thursday, August 20th.

It has been confirmed that at least one employee has tested positive for COVID-19, according to Lander’s Assistant Mayor Rajean Strube-Fossen.

“Staff are being tested and we make all decisions based on our public’s safety and the current State health orders,” she explained. No other information was shared.

County 10 confirmed with Fremont County Public Health Nurse Manager Becky Parkins that contact tracing is done through local public health officials. Once the state notifies them of a positive COVID-19 test, they contact the positive person and identify those who were within 6′ of the person for over 15 minutes. Public health will then contact those people for further direction.
