Lander Medical Clinic hopes to obtain a long term lease at Enterprise Park

Lander Medical Clinic announced their intention of obtaining a long term lease at Enterprise Park last Tuesday at the Lander City Council meeting.

LMC is partnering with LEDA (Lander Economic Development Association) and together they plan to submit for an Economic Development Administration grant to help fun the project.

The proposal is for an 18,500 square foot building with an estimated cost of $6.7 million.

Beyond the EDA grant submission, Lander Medical Clinic says they are asking the City of Lander to be their sponsor in efforts to apply for a Wyoming Business Council Business Ready Community Grant and Loan Funding.

Lander Medical Clinic representatives said the medical facility would be a “multi-specialty” facility and that it would be “state of the art” and “tech friendly.” They also hope to expand the facility into classrooms, lab space, and for urgent care services.

The proposal submitted to council members said the new facility would keep over 70 “above median” jobs in the community.

LMC says if the proposal is succesful, they’d like to hire 5-6 more providers in the next year, and an additional 6-7 in the following 2-3 years. They’d also like to acquire 12-15 medical assistants, 10-12 front office staff, and 5-6 managers or administrators.

Representatives for Lander Medical said they would like to submit the grant application before December 1st, 2018. They said if they can get the grants, they’d like to have an “open door date” of either late 2019 or early 2020.
