Lander Community Foundation distributes grants from their LCF COVID-19 Relief Fund

On Friday, May 1, 2020, the Lander Community Foundation distributed $15,000 to six organizations that are providing immediate, frontline support to Lander community members impacted by COVID-19. This first round of LCF COVID-19 Relief Fund grants predominantly targets organizations that address basic needs, such as adequate food and shelter.

LCF will continue to provide financial support to Lander organizations responding to the needs of those directly impacted by COVID-19 throughout the coming months. Organizations are encouraged to request funding from the LCF COVID-19 Relief Fund if they need help. Additionally, organizations may receive more than one grant from the Relief Fund.

“I want to emphasize the outpouring of support in our community. To date, LCF has received donations from over 75 individuals and companies to the LCF COVID-19 Relief Fund. Even in this precarious time, when there is so much we don’t know about the future, people are giving and making a real difference in the lives of their neighbors. It’s incredibly inspiring, and the foundation is so grateful to be a part of this team,” comments executive director Mary Greene.

LCF expects the scale and scope of the community’s needs to evolve and grow in the coming weeks. Therefore, the foundation is dedicated to adapting to these changing needs and making the greatest impact we can through the Relief Fund and other community-based COVID response programs.
