Another action items on Wednesday’s agenda is regarding the local half percent sales tax for economic development, 10 percent of which goes to the Wind River Transportation Authority.

“The Town of Dubois has been paying 10 percent of (its) half-cent sales tax funds monthly to the WRTA,” the agenda states. “(But) the Town of Dubois does not receive services for these funds.”

The council will consider approving an alternative transportation agreement this week with the High Country Senior Citizens Center and Dubois Assisted Living contingent on the concurrence of those groups and “ceasing payments to the WRTA,” according to the agenda.

The meeting is open to the public for in-person attendance, and past meeting minutes are available here.
