Community effort provides gifts for 84 FCSD #1 students

(Lander, WY) – The annual Angel Tree organized by the Lander Middle School Student Council was a huge success this year due to community support, shared LMS School Counselor and Student Council Advisor Cristina Jensen.

“We actually provided Christmas gifts for 84 children in Lander this year! All thanks to this amazing community.”

The students were able to purchase gifts for each other thanks to donated gift cards, Jensen explained. Items were also donated by community members and local businesses like skateboards, legos, 470 full-sized candy bars, and more.

Several local businesses helped make this possible including Family Dollar, Home Source Realty, and Breadboard, she continued. Also, all of the Angel Tree parents received gift cards from Boyle Electric.

The LMS Student Council and Jensen share a big “thank you” to all the businesses and community members who helped make this years’ LMS Angel Tree a success.
