    City of Lander announces move to “Level 2” procedure in COVID-19 preparations

    After the first case of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) was officially announced in Fremont County Friday night, the City of Lander has announced a switch to “Level 2” in preperations.

    Earlier today, Mayor Monte Richardson and the Lander City Council held an emergency work session to announce their plans for COVID-19 preparations.

    Level 2 plans include;

    When there is one confirmed COVID 19 case in Fremont County or 3 confirmed cases statewide, we will move to Level 2 operations as follows:
    ● All Lander Community and Convention Center functions will be cancelled. Refunds will be available.
    ● City will close our buildings to the public. We will, however conduct business by appointment as necessary. Please call 307-332-2870 to make arrangements.
    ● All non-essential employees may request to work remotely.
    ● City Council meetings will remain open to the public to meet public open meeting laws.
