Child Development Services of Fremont County adopts adaptive education plan

Child Development Services of Fremont County has shared the following announcement:

With the information obtained from the Governor’s recommendations, the CDS board and administration have determined that at this time a return to school on April 6 is not feasible or in the best interest for the health of our students and the community at large.

Education from Child Development Services of Fremont County will get a new look beginning April 6th. The buildings will remain closed for preschool classroom instruction, but instruction and therapy services will resume. It will look quite different. CDS’ mission is to Educate, Empower, and Inspire. In these trying times, we must find a way to educate our children and help families. It will be new to the students. It will be new to the parents. It will be new for everyone.

The board and administration staff are working hard to get geared up for the challenge. They have used the downtime to plan for a new way of delivering instruction in the event the schools were to be closed beyond April 3rd. On the week of April 6, CDS staff will work with students and families on how the adapted education plans will function.

We thank you for your patience and understanding during these unique and rapidly changing circumstances.
