Central Wyoming basketball fall to Northwest College to finish the regular season

(Riverton, WY) – Rustler basketball wrapped up the regular season with a pair of make-up games on the road at Northwest College last night.

Playing the Trappers for the second time in 48 hours, The women trailed by 7 at half, but were blistered by the home team in the second half to the tune of 39 to 18.  Northwest won the game 72 to 44. Central will await the winner of tonight’s LCCC vs Northwest game in Cheyenne to see where they will go for their Region 9 play-in game.

The men’s team held a five point lead late after trailing much of the game. Three missed CWC free throws in the final minute and a couple of Northwest buckets led to a 70 to 68 Trapper win. The loss drops the men into last place in the conference with a play-in game at Casper Saturday afternoon.
