    Awards, retirement, grants and more for the FCSD #25 Board of Trustees Tuesday

    (Riverton, WY) – The Fremont County School District #25 Board of Trustees will convene for their regular meeting on Tuesday, February 9th starting at 7:00 pm.

      A. Approve the minutes of the January 26, 2021 Board Meeting (attachment)
      B. Consider payment of bills including late pays
      C. Adopt Policy JLCDB “Naloxone Policy” including Exhibit JLCDB-E “Directions
      for Administration” and Regulation JLCDB-R “Incident Report Form” on second
      reading.

    6. Action Items
      A. Consider an Administrative Recommendation to Accept a Grant
      Riverton Middle School has received a $500 grant from the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program. This grant is to be used for the maintenance and support in the area of Math and/or Science.
      *Superintendent’s recommendation: I recommend the Board accept the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Program Grant in the amount of $500.

      B. Consider an Administrative Recommendation to Adopt the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 School Calendar
      The staff survey results for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school calendars were 22 votes for Option 1 and 111 votes for Option 2 and 92 votes for Option 3 and 18 votes for Option 4 calendars.
      *Superintendent’s recommendation: I recommend the Board adopt Option 2 calendars for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school year.

      C. Consider an Administrative Recommendation to Accept a Resignation
      We have received a letter of resignation from RHS Head Girls Swimming & Diving Coach Sarah Hughes effective immediately.
      *Superintendent’s recommendation: I recommend the Board accept the resignation of Sarah Hughes as an RHS Head Girls Swimming & Diving Coach effective immediately.

      D. Consider an Administrative Recommendation to Accept a Retirement Request
      We have received a letter of retirement from Business Manager Lu Beecham effective the end of the 2020-2021 school year.
      *Superintendent’s recommendation: I recommend the Board accept the retirement request of Business Manager Lu Beecham effective at the end of the 2020-2021 school year.

      E. Consider an Administrative Recommendation to Accept a Retirement Request
      We have received a letter of retirement from Willow Creek 1 st Grade Teacher Terri Kucera.
      *Superintendent’s recommendation:  I recommend the Board accept the retirement request of Terri Kucera as a Willow Creek 1 st Grade Teacher effective at the end of the 2020-2021 school year.

      F. Consider an Administrative Recommendation to Offer Contracts
      Interview teams are recommending the Board offer contracts to the following people:
      Slade Becker RHS Assistant Boys Soccer Coach
      Jeff Carruth RHS Assistant Boys Soccer Coach
      *Superintendent’s recommendation: I recommend the Board offer contracts to Slade Becker as an RHS Assistant Boys Soccer Coach and Jeff Carruth as an RHS Assistant Boys Soccer Coach for the 2020-2021 school year.
    7. Information Items
      A. Board Work Session – February 23 at 5:30 p.m., dinner will be provided
      B. Classified Staff Changes: RETIREMENT – RMS Head Cook Lynette Hall effective May 28, 2021. NEW HIRES – Jolene Velarde as an RHS SPED Para; Ruby Ziegler as an RHS/CC Learning Resource Para; Sheyla Gies as an RMS IDEAL Para.
