    Wind River Hotel and Casino announces new leadership team

    Brian Van Enkenvoort and David “Ron” McElroy have been announced as the new leadership team for the Wind River Hotel and Casino.

    The Northern Arapaho Business Council shares additional information about the new leadership team released on July 2nd, 2019:

    Riverton, WY – The Northern Arapaho Business Council, the duly elected officials of the Northern Arapaho Tribe, today announced Brian Van Enkenvoort and David “Ron” McElroy as the new leadership team of the Wind River Hotel and Casino and its related enterprises.

    Mr. Van Enkenvoort has been hired as Chief Executive Officer. He brings more than two decades of leadership experience in casinos, tribal entities and government programs. Most recently, he served as general manager of Mohican North Star Casino & Bingo in Bowler, Wisconsin. In that capacity, Mr. Van Enkenvoort worked directly with Tribal Council to expand and upgrade the resort, increase revenues and customer base and carry out the vision of tribal members.

    Mr. McElroy will serve as Deputy CEO of the Wind River Hotel and Casino. A member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe, Mr. McElroy most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of Wind River Cares, the Northern Arapaho Tribe’s 638 health care clinic. He also had leadership experience at the Wind River Hotel and Casino, where he served as Chief Financial Officer from 2004 to 2012.

    “The Northern Arapaho Business Council is excited to announce the hiring of Brian and Ron to the Casino’s leadership team,” said Chairman Lee Spoonhunter. “Both individuals have extensive connections and strong roots in Wyoming, and both bring a wealth of tribal and local knowledge and experience that will move the Casino in a positive direction.”

Part of that process often includes bringing in new leadership that can give us a fresh perspective and a new start,” said Councilmember Stephen Fast Horse. “Brian and Ron have a track record of leadership that’s focused not only on growing business, but on serving the needs of the community.”
