#Whatshappening: Riverton Kiwanis Club to Host 1st Annual Health Fair Event

(Riverton, WY) In partnership with Wyoming Health and Wellness Fairs, Riverton’s local Kiwanis club will be hosting its 1st annual community health fair event Saturday, May 1st from 7 a.m. – 10 a.m. at the Intertribal Education and Cultural Center (ITECC) on the Central Wyoming College campus, 2660 Peck Ave. in tandem with the Wyoming Health Fair blood draw.

“We’re excited to be partnering with the Wyoming Health and Wellness Fairs,” said Mia Harris, Riverton Kiwanis Club President. “We had hoped to host an event last spring. However due to the COVID outbreak, we had to postpone our plans. We hope the community will take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about the health and wellness resources available to them here in Fremont County.”

“To date, we have over 20 health and wellness related vendors and speakers who will be sharing their information during the morning health fair,” said Jennifer Amend, committee member for the Health Fair. “And we’re so pleased to have Echo Klaproth attending on behalf of Help for Health. At 9am, she will be speaking about the important work being done at Help for Health and will be sharing some of her very moving poetry inspired by her work as the Hospice Chaplain.”

You can schedule your appointment for the blood draw taking place April 29th-May 1st at, www.WHF.Health/Appointments or by calling 800-979-3711.

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. Riverton Kiwanis meets every Thursday at noon at the Riverton City Hall.
