#WhatsHappening: Lander Easter egg hunt on April 3rd

(Lander, WY) – After a year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Lander Elks Lodge and Lander Parks Department are hosting the Easter egg hunt in City Park on Saturday, April 3rd at 9:30 am.

This 2021 hunt is going to operate a little differently compared to years past in hopes of being more equitable. Instead of the hunt for numbered eggs to get prizes, each kiddo will receive a raffle ticket upon check-in. Tickets for prizes will then be drawn for each of the following age groups: 2-5, 6-8, and 9-12.

The Lander Elks Lodge has provided financial assistance for prizes including the bikes with an annual grant for well over 25 years, according to Exalted Ruler Kary Sommers. “As Elks members, we are really proud this is a longstanding event.”

The hunt usually lasts less than 5 minutes, so those wishing to participate should arrive before 9:30 am. The Lander Parks Department will have check-in tables for each age group – as a reminder, checking in is the only way to get a raffle ticket for prizes.

Don’t forget to bring a basket!

Those with questions are asked to reach out to the Parks Department at (307) 332-4647.
