Update from Fort Washakie Health Center

The following is an official PSA from the Fort Washakie Health Center regarding our response to the Covid-19 pandemic:

In response to COVID-19, utilizing the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance, the IHS Fort Washakie Health Center has implemented the following procedures for the health and safety of our community:

    • If you are experiencing a fever, cough, or shortness of breath, call 307-332-7300 for instructions.
    • Access for patients will be limited to the Front Entrance. Patients can expect to be met by employees wearing masks, have their temperature checked and answer some questions regarding symptoms and recent travel.
    • If you have routine appointments or need medication refills, your appointments may be rescheduled and/or postponed at this time to limit potential exposures. You may call the clinic to discuss this with your primary care provider. If you need medication refills, call 307-335-5983.  If you would like to reschedule an appointment that is scheduled for the next two weeks, call 307-332-7300.

We are committed to our ongoing mission to raise the physical, mental, social and spiritual health of American Indians and Alaska Natives to the highest level and are working closely with Tribal Government and other local healthcare agencies on the Wind River Indian Reservation to ensure high-quality care during this difficult time.
