    Shoshoni High School varsity volleyball team honors 13 fallen soldiers at first home game

    (Shoshoni, WY) – The Shoshoni girls varsity volleyball team had their first home game against Rocky Mountain High School on Saturday, September 18th.

    The Wranglers chose the occasion to honor the 13 U.S. service members killed in Kabul, Afghanistan on August 26th, with a memorial ceremony.

    Team Captain Hailey Donelson, who usually wears number 13 on the team, retired her jersey for the ceremony.

    Donelson, along with fellow Team Captains Emma Crichton, and Sonja Post, gave a speech before the game, honoring the fallen soldiers.

    The rest of the team, including coaches Becky Keane and Jamie Maddock, then set 13 white roses on Donelson’s retired jersey as she read the names.

    The Wranglers next match will be an away game on Friday, October 8th against Glenrock.
