#RivertonBiz: Hy-Country is ready to process your domestic, wild game meat

#rivertonbiz, brought to you by Grace Andrus with Edward Jones, shares the stories of the local movers and shakers of our Fremont County economy.

Hy-Country Meat Processing brings Fremont County nearly 40 years of experience in processing domestic and wild game meat. For the past two years, owner Paul McCain has been working on moving the family-owned business from Casper to this new location at 11276 US 26 between Riverton and Shoshoni.

Opening here in Fremont County was slowed down a little due to COVID-19, but Hy-Country was recently state-approved and is custom exempt. They already have people booked and plan to begin processing on Monday.

While the McCain’s are looking to keep this processing location on a smaller scale, more of a “mom and pop” size. They will be “doing what we can,” Paul explained. He also shared that they do not have the facility to do any slaughtering. Everything has to be “pre-killed.”

You can find more information on their Facebook page, website, or by giving Paul a call at (307) 797-4469.
