    Riverton Raiders head to state B tournament as the south’s number one seed

    The Riverton Raider “B” baseball will begin their state tournament campaign Wednesday, and enter the tournament as a number one seed.

    The 2018 state tournament begins in Sheridan.

    The Raiders open the class B legion tournament by playing Douglas, July 25th at 1:30 p.m.

    If the Raiders are successful, they’ll play again Thursday at 4:00 p.m. If Riverton loses Wednesday, they play again at 11:00 a.m. Thursday. Either way, they’ll play either Gillette or Rock Springs.

    Riverton’s A-League team will play at the West District Tournament in Lovell as the #3 seed. The Raiders battle the 6th seeded Casper Drillers Thursday, July 26th at 1:00 pm. If Riverton is victorious they play for third place at 3:30 p.m. Friday. If Riverton loses, they have one more chance to qualify for the state tournament at 10:00 a.m. Friday.
