“After 30 years of dedicated service to the Lander community and visitors alike, Firefighter Rick Filman has decided to retire from coordinating the Pioneer Days Fireworks show on the 4th of July.

“Rick and his family have dedicated thousands of hours obtaining grants, finding vendors, ordering and setting up fireworks for our community to enjoy. The Filman family has sacrificed a big portion of celebrating the 4th of July over the past 3 decades to provide one of the best fireworks shows in Fremont County.

“Rick has found a replacement so the tradition will continue to provide entertainment and celebrate our Nation’s independence. This year Lander Rural Fire Department will be sponsoring the fireworks show.

“We would like to say THANK YOU to Rick, his family and the members of Lander Rural who have helped over the last 30 years with the fireworks show. Spend some well-deserved time with your family on the 4th.
