The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Hudson’s Funeral Home (680 Mount Hope Drive, Lander, WY 82520).
Roberta Marie Welsh was born on September 29, 1938, to Bernard Douglas Welch and Irene Leetch in Millboro, South Dakota.
She worked as a CNA for many years and took care of a lot of people inside of their homes here in Lander. She loved the outdoors, gambling, fishing, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was also a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Jeffery City and Lander, WY.
Roberta Married Robert Welsh on March 14, 1964, in Pierre South Dakota. Together, they raised five children in Winner, South Dakota before moving the family to Jeffrey City of Wyoming, and then settling in Lander in 1981.
Roberta is preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Irine Welch; husband, Robert Welsh; daughter, Sheila Carper; grandson, Tosten Flaten; sister, Mona Nieman (Ervin); sister, Shirley (George) Konup; nephew, Russell Nieman; great nephew, Caz Welch; sister-in-law, Janis Welch; and her dogs, Snuggles and Scooter.
She is survived by her daughters, Roxane Bickmeyer (Lander), Michele Flaten and partner Rod McCormick (Green River), Becky Forton (Lander); son, Mike Welsh (Lander) as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
