#HeadsUp: Burma Road cattle guard removal to disrupt traffic Wednesday

This #headsup is brought to you by Bailey’s Tire and Auto Service.

(Riverton, WY) – Removal of a cattle guard will disrupt traffic patterns at WY789’s intersection with Burma Road on Wednesday, August 18th, north of Riverton.

Wyoming Department of Transportation maintenance foreman Shane Pugh of Riverton said WYDOT and the Fremont County Transportation Department are collaborating on the project to permanently remove the cattle guard at the Burma Road/WY789 intersection.

The cattle guard removal project will begin about 8:30 am Wednesday, so commuters should be able to use Burma Road without delays to get to work in Riverton on Wednesday.

“We’re hoping this will be a one-day project,” Pugh said. “We appreciate everyone’s patience.”

Pugh said motorists are encouraged to detour on Young Road to WY789, though there will be a rough detour at the Burma Road/WY789 intersection.
